Why Roofing Guard Insurance exists
Most agencies treat a roofing contractor like any other small business — a generic policy, a generic quote, and no one who has read the completed-operations tail on an installed roof or the non-subscriber decision a Texas roofer has to make. We built Roofing Guard Insurance on the opposite idea: pick one class, learn it deeply, and place it with carriers that actually want the work. A roof that leaks two winters after the job, a torch-down fire on a flat commercial roof, and a crew working at height are exposures a specialist underwrites on purpose, not exclusions an owner discovers during a claim.
That focus is the whole value. We know to ask whether you run steep-slope residential, low-slope hot-work, or metal and tile; whether you carry workers compensation or operate as a non-subscriber; and what your general contractors demand in additional-insured and limit terms — before we quote, not after a certificate request lands on your desk mid-storm-season. We place coverage through a 16-market specialty panel and read each account to the real operation.
Who we are
Roofing Guard Insurance is led by its founders, Nate Jones and Kami Jones.
Nate Jones, CPCU
Founder
Nate Jones considers himself to be the “insurance nerd” of our company. He is a graduate of Indiana State University where he majored in Insurance & Risk Management. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Nate Jones worked on numerous sides of the insurance industry as an Underwriting Manager and Risk Management Consultant. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, and he reviews every Roofing Guard Insurance submission personally.
Kami Jones
Co-Founder
Kami Jones is by far the most detailed and creative person at our company. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Kami Jones worked as a Client Service Manager in the industry.
Part of the Wexford family
Roofing Guard Insurance is a DBA of Wexford Insurance, LLC (NPN 19887690), an independent agency based in Greenwood, IN. Wexford builds specialty insurance brands, each dedicated to a single trade — so the coverage, the underwriting, and the voice all fit one kind of business. You can see the broader agency at WexfordIns.com, and our sibling brand at Concrete Guard Insurance.
Work with a team that writes your class
If you run a roofing business, start with a quote or get in touch — you will be talking with people who know the difference between a shingle re-roof and a torch-down job, and who write the coverage to match.
